Baguio City is a place far from Metro Manila. It takes a long time to get there. The city is cold and mountainous. There are many trees along the way. I saw some cows. The houses are big, small and medium. The roads are long, curling towards the top of the mountain.
In Baguio, we stayed at Brentville. We went to SM to buy some stuff. While waiting for mom, dad and I went to the Activity Center. We saw artists sketching the faces of people. There are also paintings on display. An artist named Oliver Abdah sketched my face. Oh,i love it! I also played in a castle playhouse, but it was just quick. It was time to go.
The next day, we went to Tam-awan Village, a garden in the sky. I researched and I learned that tam-awan means vantage point. It is a difficult word. I asked mom what it meant. We had to research again. We learned that it could mean angle, eye view or outlook. Tam-awan shows us how the Igorots live. I saw houses that are like bahay kubo. They are called Ifugao huts. We walked up a rocky stair. Ate Emely got lost, but was able to come back. We took so many photos. Photo is a fancy word for picture. Fancy Nancy said it. I almost shoot the coin in the wishing well. When we went down, I saw an Igorot man wearing his costume. It is called wanes. The man had feathers on his head. I feel good to be there. I want to go to a real Igorot village. It will be my next adventure.
Then we went to Strawberry Farm to pick some strawberries. My little brother, Alonzo, loves to play with strawberries. We met a little boy named Mark. He is a little farmer. He was planting strawberries when we arrived.
We went to PMA, the Philippine Military Academy. There were many tanque de guerra. The Spanish word for tanks that are used to fight enemies during war. Young people go there to be soldiers or warriors. But not just that, they will be leaders. They will fight for our country. They will also help us during typhoons. They will rescue people. Dad and mom wanted to study at PMA when they were young.
We visited Camp John Hay. I rode a brown horse alone. Then Tito Jonnie and I played hide and seek. It was the end of the day.
The end.
